Narrative Inquiry is the sixth book of the series titled, Lecture Notes on Research Methodology, published by this author. It involves the use of stories to pass a message, diagnose a problem, and or provide recommendations for resolving a problem. This qualitative research method is useful when the variables related to a phenomenon can't be parameterized and cardinal or ordinal measures may not adequately help to identify investigable relationships between the variables. Accordingly, storytelling becomes the most realistic presentation, research, and problem-solving tool. Narrative inquiry is a useful tool for jurists, teachers, policymakers, researchers, psychoanalysts, clinicians, politicians, psychotherapists, life coaches, motivational speakers, artists, novelists, and a host of other professionals and individuals who are interested in having an in-depth understanding of, and the ability to explain the issues pertaining to, any subject or condition.
Prof. Uwem Essia has several years of teaching, research, and consultancy experience in the social and management sciences and related disciplines. Among several other books, he equally authors two related book series on scenario analysis and actor analysis, respectively.
