Kathy Walsh-Piper is director of the University of Kentucky Art Museum. A former teacher, she has worked in the museum profession for more than twenty-five years where she specializes in teaching about works of art through inquiry and creative writing.
Lessons on point of view, stream of consciousness, deillegalscription, and monologue are developed along with imagination, sensations, and dreams. This guide is a masterpiece of ideas and inspiration that marries the act of writing imaginatively with the art of observation. Includes a CD-ROM featuring a collection of images by known artists.
