Produktbeschreibung

Focuses on inventory and production systems as scrap and rework strategies are applied

Presents how to reduce unexpected breakdown costs in production lines

Presents inventory systems for imperfect single and multi-product situations

Ata Allah Taleizadeh is an Associate Professor and the Head of the Supply Chain and Logistic Engineering Department at the University of Tehran. He received his Ph.D in Industrial Engineering at the Iran University of Science and Technology. He is an Associate Editor for many scientific journals including the Journal of Industrial Engineering and the International Journal of Applied and Computational Mathematics. His research interests include inventory and material management, pricing and revenue optimization, game theory, and uncertainty programming.
This book examines inventory and production strategies that can reduce unexpected breakdown costs. It highlights different EPQ models to deal with such problems, providing optimal value derivations for decision variables. It provides proofs for concavity or convexity of objective functions. The chapters also include numerical examples for all the developed mathematical models. Imperfect Inventory Systems: Inventory and Production Management and Breakdown should be useful for professionals working on supply chains, but also researchers in operations research and inventory management.
Chapter 1: Introduction.- Chapter 2: Imperfect EOQ system.- Chapter 3: Scrap.- Chapter 4: Rework.- Chapter 5: Multiple Products -Single Machine.- Chapter 6: Quality Considerations.- Chapter 7: Maintenance.- Index.
