Produktbeschreibung

Autor/Autorin: Bukhari Nadeem

Dr. Nadeem haider Bukhari is serving as a professor in the department of English, University of Azad Jammu Kashmir, Pakistan. His area of interest is syntax, semantics and phonology.Currently, he has been supervising 5 Ph.D students.
The main aim of this book is to present an analysis of the serial verb construction in Gojri, an Indo-Aryan language spoken in Jammu and Kashmir and in some parts of Pakistan and India. The nature of the work is comparative, deillegalscriptive as well as theoretical. On the basis of a careful analysis, this thesis reveals that the serial verb construction and complex predicates are two syntactically different forms and possess their own features and properties in Gojri. this work refutes the idea that Indo Aryan languages do not have serial verb formation.
