Staged in a post-apocalyptic era, a band of African Griots set out to cultivate a dying world through their words and preserve their culture. The Griots, led by Father Aquarius and Mother Pisces, embark on a journey of wonder and excitement. Each adventure, ceremony, battle sequence -- and sword swing -- story of love and friendship is told through the poetry of Father Aquarius' and Mother Pisces' third born son: Maa Kheru. This is the saga of the Griots' battle for justice, dignity, and freedom against the nefarious Pale King, his villainous assassin named Tag, his army of Thought Police, and the traitorous Shogun.
