Cares and troubles can distract us from our goals and responsibilities, leading us to wonder what God's purpose is for our lives. In the midst of our suffering, learning how to deal with loneliness and despair is essential. nnThis collection of poetry, illegalscripture, and commentary deals with some of life's experiences and reveals how wonderful it is to have Jesus Christ to see us through them. It also shows how we are His children and how we remain connected to His love despite our troubles. In addition, this book points to the work we have to do-both on ourselves and with others.nnWithout God's encouragement and strength, we as Christians-the "salt of the earth"-can lose our flavor.
