Elwood Mean has been active for many years in the Alpha Program, which is an introduction to the Christian faith. Elwood is currently the Canadian Director of Alpha on Campus, travels throughout the country, and has been successful in getting Alpha started on university campuses across Canada.
Presently, Elwood works with a large group of Alpha participants at his local church, Sunset Church, as well as outreaches that extend to the University of New Brunswick in his home town. Elwood is also employed as an outreach worker with Alpha and other programs by Sunset Church. Elwood and his wife, Faith, live in Fredericton, New Brunswick, with their daughter, Abbey. Their daughter, Paige, and her husband, Justin Beesley, a youth pastor, attend the same church. Elwood is grateful their family members are going in the same direction and assisting with Alpha.
Elwood believes that love changes hearts and that the power of a testimony can bring down strongholds. He affirms that same power can break through and mend a broken heart. His vision for this book is to share how the love of God can change a life. Elwood has written this book as a gift from his heart to extend a hand to someone looking for hope.
