Rev. Thomas Beames (1815-1864) was a British author. He was a Preacher and Assistant of St. James, Westminster. His works include The Rookeries of London (1852). "When I was called upon by my Publishers to prepare a Second Edition, I determined, as far as possible, to amend the many defects of the first. I had reason to be grateful for the very favourable criticisms delivered upon it, with one exception; and the animadversions of the dissentient were too just to be passed over without an attempt to reverse the sentence.
