Presents review articles from the research group of K. Babu Joseph as a tribute on his 80th Birthday

Contains articles in Cosmology, HEP and Gravitation, Mathematical Physics, and Non-linear Dynamics

Is a useful read for researchers in the areas to understand certain ideas in a nutshell

Dr. Sreelatha is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at the Government College Kottayam in Kerala, India. She received her M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Physics from Cochin University of Science and Technology under the Guidance of Professor K. Babu Joseph. She has over 25 years of research experience and 20 years of teaching experience. She was awarded the Women Scientist fellowship in 2004 by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. She has published over 40 refereed papers in international reputed journals and more than 17 international conference proceedings. Her research areas include nonlinear dynamics, optical solitons, chaos and applications and photovoltaics

Dr. Varghese Jacob is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the Government College Kottayam in Kerala, India. He received his M.Sc., M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees in Mathematics from Cochin University of Science and Technology, India. He has 24 years of teaching and research experiences and has published 12 refereed papers. His research interests include applied probability and stochastic modelling.

This book highlights the review of articles in theoretical physics by the students of Professor K. Babu Joseph, as a Festschrift for his 80th Birthday. This book is divided into four sections based on the contributions of Babu Joseph and his students. The four sections are Cosmology, High Energy Physics, Mathematical Physics and Non-linear Dynamics and its applications.

I. Cosmology

1. A Non-empty bouncing Milne model for the universe

2. Cosmic acceleration and dark energy

3. Signature of the Quantum Gravity on the CMB

II. High Energy Physics and Gravitation

4. Aspects of Schrödinger picture formalism

5. On Gravity- Association Between a Guru and his Student

III. Mathematical Physics

6. q-Oscillator, and a q-Deformed Debye model for lattice heat capacity

7. Quantum groups, q-oscillators and q-deformed quantum mechanics

8. Mandelbrot set and Fermat´s Last Theorem

IV. Nonlinear Dynamics

9. Soliton propagation through photorefractive media

10. Neurons and near death spikes

11. Machine Learning and the Bigdata Paradigm

12. Dynamics of nonlinear systems: integrable and chaotic solutions
