Produktbeschreibung

Autor/Autorin: Gökkaya Füsun

Assistant Professor FÜSUN GÖKKAYA (Clinical Psychologist). Psychodrama therapist and Family counselor. Working in a private Clinic in Izmir, Turkey and working with her clients, at the same time, she works as a faculty member in Near East University, TTRNC as a lecturer in Psychology Department and gives various lessons in the University.
In bullying prevention, it is known that the most effective preventions are whole school programs that include everyone in bullying events; both bully, victim and bystanders. These programs mostly include education practices that are given in crowded groups. However, when the risks they may face in their adulthood lives are thought, more comprehensive interventions should be done with these children. A group therapy program which includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques is prepared to prevent bullying and to be applied to children who have high tendencies to bully. This program is not an alternative program to do primarily prevention with whole school. On the other hand, this program is thought to be more effective when it is used as an additional practice to whole school approach prevention programs in order to decrease bullying in schools. The effectiveness of this program is examined with an experimental study in school environment. It is found that the program is effective to reduce bullying in schools in intervention in bullying. It is necessary to have the basic knowledge about Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques in order to use the applications in this book.
