L'Elite corrompue, source du malheur congolais (The Corrupt Elite, Source of Congolese Unhappiness) is a hard-hitting dive into the roots of Congolese decline. The book shows how the betrayal of national elites has replaced colonial domination, perpetuating the enslavement of the people through internal mechanisms. Through rigorous political, historical and socio-economic analysis, the author reveals the strategies of manipulation, the confiscation of resources, the comedy of reform, and the moral collapse of an elite fascinated by Western imitation. Each chapter deconstructs a part of this drift, while calling for a revolution in mentalities."A country can only be chained if its own sons hold the chains". This lucid cry runs through the book like a red thread, challenging our consciences and prompting us to take collective responsibility. This book is more than a simple statement of fact: it is a call for a cultural awakening, for the reconquest of dignity and the rebirth of a Congo faithful to its roots and sovereign in its choices.
