The major crux of our economy has been taken over by the textile industries. These industries are marked by their abilities to process and manufacture products. Common resources such as water, fuel and other variety of chemicals are used up and significant amounts of toxic and harmful waste streams are produced due to low efficiency activities. This brings about crucial damage to the environment and results in a number of environmental problems and hazards. These problems, often associated with the textile industry, include water body pollution caused by the discharge of untreated effluents. Issues like air emissions and solid waste are also of importance. Moreover, safety & Health conditions at the facility may also pose health impacts and safety issues on workers. Present study deals with the performance assessment of a textile industry by monitoring of different environmental parameters as well as health & safety conditions at the industry.
